"AND THOU SHALT HONOR"
Wednesday October 9th, PBS airs a documentary focusing on the various aspects of caregiving. Modern medical advances have lead to an explosion in the number of people living with chronic conditions that just a generation ago would have led to rapid death. This means a growing population of people in need of caregiving. Produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting, the documentary has been praised for its thorough yet sensitive examination of a topic that will touch all of us at one time or another during our lives. Check local listings for the broadcast in your area.

APPRECIATION FOR A JOB WELL DONE
Since its inception two years ago the cancerpage newsletter, "Words To Live By," has been written and produced by our Director of Communities, Chris Thomas. To bring you interesting and engaging information through this newsletter, Chris developed a wide circle of friends and contacts in the cancer support and survivor community. He scoured published literature and cancer related web sites for information that he thought might be of interest to "Words To Live By" subscribers. Chris has moved on to other endeavors but not without earning the respect and a deep appreciation for a job well done from those who worked with him at cancerpage. We wish Chris well. "Word to Live By" will continue, but Chris will be missed.
