Global Race for the Cure
The
1st
Annual Global Race for the Cure is next weekend, June 6, 2009 in Washington, D.C..
Today is the last day to send (postmark) mail-in
registration forms for the race. If you miss today's deadline, you must
register online, or in-person at in Washington at the Department of Commerce
during Race Week (June 2 - 5) and pick up an Event Kit at the Department of
Commerce building.

Circle of
Sharing from
ACS
The American Cancer Society has launched a
new tool for people with cancer, survivors and thier loved
ones.
Circle of Sharing is a web site for patients.
They get health information and share their information with family and friends in
their own secured Circle of Sharing. "Patients can organize and
access critical details about their diagnosis, medications, other treatments,
and side effects all in one secure location, making it easier to keep track of
this information and share it with healthcare providers as they move through the
different phases of their treatment," a release from the ACS states. If you have
concerns about what happens to your information, read the FAQs
before signing up. Consumers can learn more about the Circle Of Sharing
tool and create accounts at www.cancer.org/circleofsharing

The 45th annual
meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology opens this weekend
in Orlando, Florida. The focus, this year, is on personalizing cancer
